It's cooler, rougher, and has more rapids than the Tuck, but is still family-friendly. It's great for older beginners and families with more adventurous kids. You get our family-friendly guides, personalized boat selection, and raft at a family pace.

You'll raft one of the countries most popular rivers and run eight miles of crystal clear mountain river running through the Nantahala National Forest. Raft more than 20 fun and adventurous rapids, ending with the classic Little Wesser.
This trip is designed specifically for families with pre-teen and young teens. We've added our family rafting expertise to this trip. It usually has the best weather of the day. 
Choose from our larger 8 person rafts or new sporty, but stable, family size rafts. These smaller rafts are designed for a family to raft the river in their own raft. Our guides are always on the river with you in a nearby boat.
One & two person inflatable kayaks are available on our Nantahala River trips for those who are more aggressive and/or adventurous. The Nantahala is a great family rafting trip, but it can be a challenging inflatable kayak trip. The water is rougher and the water temperature is significantly cooler than on the Tuck.
