Smoky Mountain Towns
Mountains towns are the hub for most NC Smoky Mountain vacations and getaways. Asheville, a small city, is on the eastern most edge of the North Carolina Smoky Mountains. West of Asheville are a number of small towns.
Each has their own unique character.
Cherokee, Dillsboro, and Maggie Valley are great towns focused on serving mountain visitors. Cashiers and Highlands are great little resort towns. Franklin, Sylva, Bryson City, Waynesville, and Murphy are small towns that welcome visitors with open arms; but they also serve the needs of local residents.
